Extensive Potholes and ruts in the road
Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 12:18, Fri 12 April 2019
Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The road fronting virutally the whole of Marks and Spencer is shot to pieces - as a cyclist you have to eitther go in the gutter or the middle of the road - this has been like this for months and I can't bleieve that it is not on Fix My street.

So glad to see that someone has been to look but couldn't believe the tiniest of patches along the whole length had been marked in green. Had they run out of paint to highlight the whole stretch or does this mean we will get a whole length of road repaired

This is still not fixed and is very dangerous for cyclists, if you go in the gutter there is the risk of clipping the edge of the ruts in the road or the kerb and falling off, or the other option is to go in the middle of the road in front of oncoming cars/buses/lorries. Please fix asap before someone is hurt.

Because of massive ruts in the road by the bus stop close to M&S in Summertown I tripped. My hands did not save me, because they went into one of the 'troughs', so I damaged both knees. Someone had to help me up, and I was in quite a lot of pain. I'm relatively young by Summertown standards, and this would have put someone else in hospital with all the implications of that for the elderly. Unless it is fixed by the 10th October, I shall consider suing for personal injury. Thank you (I have photos but your system won't let me upload them).

This area of CW is in for future programmed work and once funding is available work will be carried out. The patch is checked on a regular basis and any defects that reach our intervention level will be repaired.

This is serioulsy going to cause a serious accident if this is not dealt with soon - the recent rain has not helped as as it is all started crumbling and there are dangerous holes - and once again Cyclists risk life and limb either going through the holes or out in the road to avoid them - please can it be looked at again.
