Markings send traffic heading to Barton across traffic heading to summertown
Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category anonymously at 20:59, Wed 10 April 2019
Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
Incorrect Dangerous markings put traffic going to Barton in left lane of three at lights, meaning they have to cross traffic in middle lane heading onward down A40 to Summertown. 4 near misses I know of( 1mine).

I had a near collision today in this exact place. The road layout is dangerous for traffic coming from Cowley and heading northbound, as people going to Barton are instructed to take the left lane (but then must continue round the roundabout to the right) while people going onto the A40 West divide into both the left and the middle lanes, and those in the middle lane will cut across (or crash into) traffic in the left lane heading for Barton. It is totally counter-intuitive for the left-hand lane approaching this roundabout to be the lane for Barton. Please fix it!
