There is a very bright street light across the street from my house which shines into my bedroom at night. My neighbours also complain about it. Old fashioned lighting and it is too tall, could be lowered and the intense light reduced or modern lighting installed

Old fashioned, over tall street lamp on Sidney Street, opposite number 16. The light seems to have got brighter lately, possibly reflecting off car roofs
