Pothole ridden road

There are too many potholes to count here. Caused by the construction project meadow view. These construction companies should as part of the planning process either commit themselves to mend roads after the extra heavy (both weight and quantity) traffic or pay the council for fixing. Either way it needs to be fixed, but why didn't the council insist that the developer put drives in for the houses in this road to allow them to park off road allowing both lanes to be used for their intended purpose and not a car park. That the extra load could be spread over two lanes and the owners of the new properties could actually drive from their homes unhindered?

One or two of the deep holes have been temporarily filled. It's best to take a different line up this road until the whole lot is redone and something is done about the parking in this area.

Thank you for your report. I spoke to the County Councillor earlier today and there are proposals to add dropped kerb and double yellow line to take parking off the road. Resurfacing and other work is due to be completed at the end of the building work. This report is now closed.
