Missing Road Signage on Highway
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 09:37, Thu 11 April 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
Tumbledown has a series of sharp, blind bends that reduce visibility. The road is a 60mph limit. There are 5 residential entrances. Since the enforcement of Newbridge weight limit there has been an increase of HGVs along this route. The growing use of electric vehicles means that some vehicles cannot be heard coming uphill increasing the risk of collision. In the last 6 months there have been 2 cars spin off the road (TVP attended), 1 minor has been knocked off his bike, a peloton of cyclists have misread the road and crashed, 6 deer have been run over (2 of which required TVP Armed Response to dispatch) In order to enable drivers to drive to the conditions of the road, the signage needs to be replaced. In particular the following signage is missing - sharp bends, pedestrians in road/no footway, deer crossing, vehicles emerging from concealed entrances
