Standing water extending across half of road, due to blocked gully.
Reported in the Roads and Carriageways category anonymously at 20:54, Fri 5 April 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
Gully invisible due to mud in dry weather. Now causing extensive, deep puddle. Results in cars/ cyclists swerving and pedestrians needing to walk in middle of road right on a junction where traffic frequently exceeds the speed limit. Every year this is reported, is cleared and then quickly silts over due to verges being destroyed and soil running into the road. The gully reqires regular emptying, but this fails to be addressed.

When the water dries it is easy to see the blocked gully and the mud on the road that is the cause of the problem. A few weeks ago we were asked to report blocked gully's. What is the point if nothing is being done following a report? This has been marked as "being investigated" for weeks - what is there to investigate - its a blocked gully!

Thank you for your report. This area is scheduled to be repaired by the Dragon patcher machine however I am unable to confirm the exact date. The programme is currently being prepared and work shall commence in the near future.

Unless you intend to fill the gully with tarmac from the "Dragon" machine ensuring it is blocked for evermore, this is clearly an error. The problem still exists and needs the correct attention - not just dismissing as not needing further action.
