I am not sure why this is taking so long as it has been repeatedly reported. The road does not need sweeping but the drain covers need removing and all the mud and leaf deposit needs clearing out, there is so much in there it is level with the road which means the water has no where to go.
This is the only road in and out of the hamlet and it the water is so deep if a small car goes through it is is likely to stop due to the volumn of water that has got inside the engine.
Please treat this as a matter of urgency or we will have to take matters further. Not least call out the fire brigade to deal with a flood.
Thank you Judith

Last Saturday the roads were swept in the hamlet but unfortunately it was not their job to also lift the covers and clear the mud that is all the way to the top of the drain so when it next rains there will still be a flood going across the road. Please can you arrange for the 3 drains on the corner to be cleared so that water can actually drain away thank you Judith
