Barriers at the end of the cycle track has been removed and its a safety issue especially for children. Can an inspector please look into this.

  • A lot of parents are very concerned about the removal of the safety barriers and before long are worried there will be a serious injury road traffic collision. We saw one child run out into the road but luckily there were no cars. The parent commented that their child normally waits at the bars and are not able to see above the shrubbery on the path anyway.

  • Sorry for the delay, this has been looked into on the OCC side of things and no one has any info as to who has removed these. This brings us to believe these may have been removed my Cherwell DC or Bicester Town Council so they can access the hedglines along the main footways in southwold as they maintain these and cut them back anually. please feel free to conact either directly but im affraid we cannot be any more help with this issue. kind regards.
