We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. The trees are on land that is likely maintainable by the City Council and not by the County Council. They can be contacted at: 01865 252 240
Many thanks for your enquiry.

The trees are indeed rooted in privately owned land, however they are also growing across the pavement. That pavement forms part of the highway.
Is it your contention a) that the trees should be cut back by Oxford CC because they are rooted in their land, or b) that it is Oxford CC's responsibility to cut back, or cause to be cut back, vegetation that is blocking pavements within the City, even where the road of which the pavement is part is maintained by Oxon CC?
