Large tree overhanging Middle Way

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 12:18, Tuesday 26 March 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Concerned about tree growing in private property (53 Middle Way? near Summerhill Road corner) with very large branches overhanging road on Middle Way. Think it's a cedar tree. The branches are very long and growing horizontally away from the house and across the road all the way to the other side. These branches need to be cut back for car and pedestrian safety as the tree is also leaning into the road.

  • We have visited site and assessed the trees in their location. The overhanging trees present are on land not deemed to be part of the publicly maintained highway by OCC in our capacity as local highway authority. The trees are on land that is likely maintainable by the City Council and not by the County Council. They can be contacted at: 01865 252 240

    Many thanks for your enquiry.
