Roundabout marking unclear caused accident
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 23:11, Mon 25 March 2019

A few cones and an arrow sign are supposed to represent a roundabout. But this roundabout arrangement is not clear at all, especially at night. About two weeks ago, the driver of a car coming towards the roundabout from the direction as given by the picture did not see this roundabout and, instead of giving way to a car already in the roundabout area coming from the right hand side, drove towards the roundabout area and hit the car coming from the right. This accident happened in the evening about two weeks ago; an ambulance, a police car and a fire engine were called to help. I have seen other drivers struggling with this kind of problem at this ‘roundabout’. Drivers who know the clear former arrangement of this roundabout may be more careful here but this is not true for visitors who may not know the existence of the roundabout there which has an obscure arrangement of only a few cones and an arrow sign. Urgent action is needed as another accident can quite easily happen and many drivers have already had scare or near misses.
