Report actioned to be fixed 9.1.19 still not fixed!
Reported in the Report a tree problem category anonymously at 14:54, Mon 11 March 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
The street light at the junction of Milldown Road and Wallingford Road has been out of action for some weeks and cannot be fixed because of branches interfering with it. This was originally reported 28.8.18, and was 'actioned to be fixed' on 9.1.19. This is now urgent as SSE report that the street light cannot be fixed until the branches are cut back.

Please can this street light be fixed ASAP. Wallingford Road is busy and narrow at this point and this streetlight illuminates the junction with Milldown Road. It is difficult for drivers entering or leaving Milldown Road to see pedestrians who have to cross that road at this point as there is no pavement on the other side of Wallingford Road.

Still waiting for OCC to cut back the branches that are causing the problem. SSE will not fix the lamp until this is done. If we don't get a response soon from OCC we'll try to find an alternative way to get the branches cut, but it's a difficult location so it's not just a case of simply attacking them with a saw!

Well this site is to report issues to OCC and this light has been out for a long time - the response doesn't sound very joined-up or urgent. This junction is dangerous for pedestrians at night without this light, please can this be attended to ASAP. Thanks you.

Thank you for your report. Please can you open a new report with exact location of light that is not working and then I will able to forward to the street lighting team to address. Thank you

The branches have been cut back but the light fitting is damaged so needs to be replaced. Goring Parish Council's contractor SSE Lighting is aware and we are currently awaiting a quotation for a replacement fitting.
