Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to as we have no column 132.. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

The street light has the number 132 written on it and it is located at the T junction of Skene Close and Mileway Gardens/Demesne Furze, as indicated on the map. It is next to a narrow wooded area that separates it from Old Road. I think everyone living close by would like this to be fixed asap, as we have been having problems with dubious characters occupying that area at night and leaving rubbish lying around. We recently saw a police car interacting with these people and we hope that fixing the street lamp would add to keeping our area safe.

I would like to add: in case the council does not maintain an official street lamp there, then we would very much like to see an alternative solution found to provide more lighting. That area is vulnerable due to its proximity to the strip of trees and the cover those provide.

Thank you for your description, however I am still unable to locate column 132, this may be a private light. Can you please confirm if the unit you are referring to is on the attached map. thank you

Apologies I didn't see the attached map previously and thought you meant the interactive one. On your map it is the lamp 003. Thanks for following this up!

Thank you for confirming, we have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.
Kind regards The Electrical – Lighting Team

This street lamp is still not fixed and yesterday evening/night there was a suspicious gang of youths hanging around the area (again). They park under the broken street light and seem to use the darkness and cover of the trees for whatever business brings them there. Please could fixing this be prioritised?

Note that this is street lamp 003, not 132. The lamp itself is mislabelled.
