Ref: 351242 Thank you for reporting this outage for an Electrical asset maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. Reports of this kind are vital to assist us in keeping the County in light.
We have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.
Kind regards The Electrical – Lighting Team

This streetlight is still not working and hasn't been since at least March. A lady has reported this morning that she fell over last night because the area was so dark. This streetlight is outside 3 Van Diemens Road. Please can you arrange URGENT repair.

Sorry to hear this has happened , i hope the resident is ok. I have checked our fault record, column 2 in the car park currently has a cable issue, UKPN own this cable to we have sent the fault through and they will rectify as soon as they can. As they own the cable we have to rely on their timescales but will stress the importance. Column 1A at the entrance has been attneded twice which is frustrating that the issue hasnt been resolved and we must apologise, we will escalate this to our contractors and urge them to ensure its tested thoroughly

Many thanks for the report and sorry to hear that there is still an issue. We have attended the unit and replaced the lantern so my concern now is that we are attending the wrong one. I have attached a map, would it be possible to identify the correct asset number and we will send a crew straight out, sorry again and than you for raising this with us

This street light has still not been repaired and has been out for at least 5 months now. The Town Council are receiving numerous complaints about this but do not know exactly which light it is.

Many thanks for the report , we have attended column 1A on 3 seperate visits with the latter fitting a complete new lantern so should be back in light. If its PL1 on the map this unit is owned by South Oxon Housing associate. Ive raised a new fault to column 1 to see if this is the issue. Any further information please let us know

Ref:00357231 Thank you for your report, OCC are now responding to out of lights within the contracted timescales of attending site within 7 days for repairs. If there is a cable fault this will be passed to the Electricity company to repair and will take longer, it will depend on the resources which the District Service Operator has. Thank you

We believe this issue was addressed but due to a technical error it hasn't been updated on FixMyStreet. We now consider it fixed, but if the issue still exists please let us know by creating a new report on FixMyStreet: https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/
