Street light outside 29 George St been out for 4 nights now.

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

  • Ref: 351214 Thank you for reporting this outage for an Electrical asset maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. Reports of this kind are vital to assist us in keeping the County in light.

    We have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.

  • Unfortunately, there was a typo in this report, I stated 29 George St and it should have been 19. This however, doesn’t retract from the fact the problem hasn’t even been dealt with or looked at or my report would have been questioned as outside 29, the lamp is working. You now need to know, I witnessed a member of the public being helped up from the pathway outside 19 George St. I believe it is now a matter of safety and should be treated as urgent.
