Street light not working outside No1 Fairfax.

The street light has stopped working again. This is the third time it has gone wrong in that last couple of years. Can you please investigate if there is something other than the lamp that is faulty.

  • Ref: 351115 Thank you for reporting this outage for an Electrical asset maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. Reports of this kind are vital to assist us in keeping the County in light.

    We have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.

  • There are many elderly people in Fairfax Close and I am concerned for them falling in the darkness

  • Thank you for the report and sorry to hear of this lighting issue. We have had a report from our contractors that the lighting faults have been rectifed at this location. If this isnt the case please update and we will send a crew back out as soon as we can to ensure they are left working, apologies for any inconvenience

  • Good morning, I can confirm the light is still out. This is an important light due to the elderly living there. Please fix this asap

  • Sorry that this is still causing issue, we have issued a revisit to column 1 under fault reference 00352385, unfortunately a team did attend last week but by this it appears it hasnt been rectifed , i will make sure the contractors are told to fully test this apparatus before leaving site
