Give Way Sign at car park exit Turned 90deg. AGAIN !!
Reported in the Road Markings category by Roland Sparling at 16:18, Sat 2 March 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
This is the second time I have reported this sign, which results in cars not stopping at badly worn street markings. For the second time I must state that the sign and post need to be re-positioned a few metres towards Waitrose, before the bend in the footpath. This proposed new position will prevent it from being hit by high sided vehicles at this NARROW exit. Thank You.

Looks like it may have been hit again ? Unless you move it as suggested it will not survive very long. I believe this junction contravenes Road Signage regulations and will cause an accident soon. Drivers exiting car park often do not even look right ! Move sign and post as suggested please.

I feel like giving up on this job. It’s easy remove sign and post relocate a few metres, Job done. When there is an accident I will remind you of your lack of response. I just hope I am not involved ?

Your status Your Status is ‘Fixed’ ??? My definition is way at pathetic ‘BODGE’ !! The post has been replaced and the graffiti-marked sign panel has been refitted. I have just driven 1600 miles across Europe and not seen a single sign like this one ! IT NEEDES RELOCATING !! How many times do I have to report this ? This is 3rd time now. I advise the use of a spirit level. This is a tragic example of low quality waste of funds !! PLEASE RELOCATE BEFORE IT CAUSES AN ACCIDENT OR GETS HIT AGAIN. !!

A week ago you changed status to ‘fixed’. May I please suggest you changed it to ‘failed’. As I forecast it has been hit again and the next hit could knock the sign down causing potential injury to anyone in the vicinity. When will you listen to somebody with 16 years in the sign business ..... relocate as suggested ? This is a stupid situation. Please take note. Thank you.

It’s now about 18 months since I first reported this defective Give Way Sign. There have been several ‘bodges’ done, but today whilst driving away from many Thames View home I was nearly side-swiped by a car leaving the car park. I am horrified to say that the Sign and post are no longer there !! The original site of the post which I forecast was not suitable is now marked with some white paint, This junction is now EXTREMELY DANGEROUS and PROBABLY ILLEGAL ? The Road markings, both triangle and lines are at least 50% missing and virtually invisible from a departing car. The sign and post need to be replaced as a matter of urgency, in the alternative position I have taken pains to advise you repeatedly. If this is to remain the same priority type i.e. GIVE WAY, A New Sign and repaired markings are essential, to comply with Traffic Markings regulations. At the moment its is a ‘Free-For-All’ which is a recipe for an Accident waiting to happen.
