18” long pothole on Main Street outside Gowers Close
Reported in the Pothole category by Philip Hilton at 22:09, Tue 26 February 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
The pothole was not temporarily filled on the last visit. It is now much larger and the road surface all around it is showing signs of rapid degradation. As well as being an obvious safety hazard, when the pothole fills with rainwater, the cars spray dirty water over my front door and window ( see photos)

The pothole hasn’t even been ringed in white paint. The deterioration of the road has created a serious safety hazard in a village that has no street lighting, and my timber front door has been damaged by the regular splashing from passing vehicles.

Whilst the pot-hole has been temporarily filled with tarmac it is by no means a permanent repair and the infill has already depressed. Sibford Gower's Main Street and Acre Ditch is a bus route and takes heavy farm vehicles as well as regular traffic to the primary school. The road is littered with pot-holes along its length and is badly in need of a full and permanent re-surfacing programme. Is this scheduled to take place anytime soon?
