Pothole, deep on edge of road - southbound

Reported in the Pothole category anonymously at 20:44, Friday 22 February 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

At the place where there is sort of a parking for the water tower a newer but already deep pothole has developed. With opposing traffic this one can be easily hit and it is not very visible.

  • 11 yards north of the north water tower boundary fence 90mm deep pothole on edge of road. Last night at 1900 I was driving south, a car came other way so I had to move to left of road. A big bang as my wheel went in hole, which destroyed my ns front wheel. The short spirit level in my picture is 2 feet long. My wheel had was going to be destroyed hitting a 90mm high ledge. I went back in daylight to photograph hole.
