Grassy area left in awful state by Southern Gas Networks

Reported in the Grass and Hedges category anonymously at 08:09, Friday 22 February 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later

Southern Gas Networks used the (formerly) grassy area between Egerton Road and Regency Close as a storage area for their equipment while carrying out gas works in the surrounding area, including storage of a small digger and container. This meant that a lot of the grass in that area was destroyed, and what has been left is a large area of mud. SGN finished work here a few months ago, however the area formerly covered in grass is a mucky eyesore, the pavement is covered in mud, and some plastic barriers have been dumped in the corner of the area and still haven't been collected. I would like to see some action taken to reinstate this area to its former grassy self, as SGN advertised on their barriers they would be doing.

  • Some grass seeds were put down a few weeks ago. Whether they come up or not remains to be seen.
