There are a series of potholes in the road opposite St James Way West Hanney.

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
These potholes and very uneven road surface have been getting worse over the three months. Vehicles use the middle of the road to avoid them. One person has fallen and suffered a twisted ankle when walking on the road in the dark. It represents a hazard to cyclists when it rains and in the dark.

A series of potholes and a very uneven surface represent a danger to pedestrians when using the road to cross the green, cyclists have to swerve to avoid the potholes which is not possible if there is oncoming traffic, and vehicles have to use the right hand side of the road to avoid damage to their vehicle tyres and alloy wheels. You say it is not suitable for immediate repair and it has been passed to the Asset Renewal Team, when can we expect a repair to take place, please give a time frame, if this is not possible can you please explain what your jargon means? The 13 homes in St James Way have to use this road to exit and enter the village, some residents use bicycles, some walk with and without young children, the Council Tax we pay is £39k pa, perhaps some of that can be used to fix the road before a serious accident happens. I look forward to your response.

The terrible road conditions outside St James Way is getting worse and will be if not already an accident waiting to happen. This road is also along one side of the lovely village green and is a huge embarrassment for anyone visiting the area. The main damage was done by construction vehicles during the construction of the homes in St James Way which should have been something that the developer should possibly of been held responsible for. A road like this is a real danger especially for cyclists and pedestrians after dark as there are no street lights to highlight the terrible road.

As per posts above these potholes have got significantly worse and represent a particular danger to cyclists and motorcyclists using this section of road. Considering this is also the centre of the village the very poor state of the road also represents a real eyesore.

I have tripped several times in daylight whilst walking from St James Way , West Hanney across the road to the village green. So too have our guests. Pot holes and an irregular road surface are hazardous to pedestrians , cyclists and car drivers. It is difficult pushing a child in a pushchair over this surface. Please inspect and report your findings. I fear there is an accident waiting to happen at the roadside here. Worried , active 64 year old lady .
