Ref: 350720/350721 Thank you for reporting this outage for an Electrical asset maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. Reports of this kind are vital to assist us in keeping the County in light.
We have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.
Kind regards The Electrical – Lighting Team

Why have the street lights been replaced with flood lights?? No consideration has been given to local residents. And as usual the council have gone ahead and made changes without any thought for how it might affect people. The glare is ridiculous.

Many thanks for your report and sorry that the lighting here has caused a glare issue. Unfortunately due to the fault with the existing units we had to replace for an LED equivalent. The existing parts are now obsolete with a policy moving forward to install LED across the county, manufacturers are now only developing LED products. I can appreciate that this is a shock with LED white light as opposed to the previous yellow SOX lamps. I will send operatives back to these 2 units to see if they can dim or change these so they arent as intrusive, Sorry for any inconvenience this has caused
