Dangerous road lay out for cyclists

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
For cyclists coming into Divinity road cyclists from Warneford lane the road is inappropriately , unsafely divided filtering cyclists in to an unsafe situation as after the filter created by an island ( with a tree on it ) again this is a bad idea, there is no appropriate space for drivers to overtake , the road is narrow and on a bend , the suggestion of a cycle lane confuses the issue. Drivers will overtake when they should not or drive too close.
The road is littered with pot holes dangerous ones especially in this first section.
The camber is very steep so cyclists entering this filter in to nothing type idea are channelled along a pot holes filled narrow ditch . Unsafe and narrow.
The road layout needs to be fundamentally changing here . To no separate filter for cars and bicycles
To a smooth pot hole free surface.
Signage is need to make drivers be aware of the need to drive slowly and sign should indicate that do not overtake cyclist in the this initial section of the road only.
When taking this route from Warneford lane I avoid the ridiculous filtering situation and remain in the centre of the road because of the pot holes and because I always turn left on to hill top road, meaning I'm in the centre of the road and travelling at slow speed because of this , the pot holes and the camber.
I often have to deal with aggressive drivers who fundamentally have no ability to realise why I would be there and have had horn beeped and faced other aggressive behaviour.
This is a very dangerous section of road and in fact the only time I have ever fallen from a bicycle on to the road in my life was in this area exactly.

Unfortunately we do not have any funds to alter the road layout at this location. In addition there are no signs approved for use on the highway that tell drivers not to overtake cyclists.
However, we will investigate other alternatives to reduce the risk of cycle/car conflicts and report back later
