Damage to the grass verge by large vehicles approaching Alchester Road from the road by the Red Cow pub

Reported anonymously at 22:17, Thursday 14 February 2019

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

This damage is constant. The verge is highways property but there is no upkeep. I cut the grass but the constant churning up of the ground makes it very difficult. The turning space needs to be greater or some form of deterrent needs to be put in place to prevent vehicles from driving up on to the slope.

  • Thank you for your report. We have assessed it and found that it does not currently meet the criteria for intervention, so will not be fixing at this time. However i can make an offer to request a quote to have bollards installed but these will need to be funded by the residents of the area as OCC do not provide bollards anymore. please email through to Highway.enquiries@oxfordshire.gov.uk if you would like me to get a quote. regards.
