Long rut hazardous to cyclists

Reported in the Pothole category by Justin Greenhalgh at 21:22, Thursday 14 February 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

The filling of an old trench is failing, leaving a rut just the right size to trap a bicycle tyre. About 4cm wide and deep by a few metres long. I was lucky and fell onto the verge; the next victim might not. This has been getting steadily worse over the winter.

  • Some confusion here about the location of this problem. It's on Harcourt Road, at the top of the hill that leads up from the A338, near the western end of a short service road also called Harcourt Road. Yet fixmystreet appears to have the location somewhere in West Lockinge - that's not where I fell off my bike!

  • I'm recording this as fixed in this location and I'll report it again where it actually is.
