Castle Street Wallingford . the double yellow lines finish on the very nasty double bends , please would you seriously think about extending the lines as people are frequently parking blocking the pavement so pushchairs and mobility scooters have to walk round them on the road. this dangerous and becoming a real problem trying to get out of our drive . An accident waiting to happen

Thank you for your report and please accept our sincere apologies for the time it has taken to respond to your enquiry. The installation / extension of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a ‘Traffic Regulation Order’, this involves a long and expensive legal process including public consultation.
If this remains oaf concern we would suggest that an initial approach is made to the Town Council so that due consideration can be given towards its priority within the local area and so that the proposal can be endorsed and promoted locally. The Town Councils is also also well placed to secure the necessary financial cost to such a scheme.State changed to: Investigation complete
