Old cobbled speed bump damages vehicles

Reported anonymously at 21:39, Wednesday 6 February 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council 1 minute later

The other speed bumps on this stretch of the High St were all replaced a year or so ago. I don't know why this one was not replaced at the same time, since it routinely scrapes the bottom of my (and other villagers') cars.

Council ref: ENQ19825671

  • Thank you for your report. We have measured the cobbled speed cushion and found that it falls within current criteria for height as it therefore does not currently meet the criteria for intervention we are not proposing any work at this time. However, if the speed cushion and/or the condition of the surrounding tarmac significantly changes, please do let us know.
