Aggressive drivers when forced to walk in carriageway
Reported in the Roads/highways category by Matthew Furseman at 08:30, Tuesday 5 February 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
Given the poor state of drainage along Station Road the only way to avoid getting soaked when walking East is to walk in the carriageway, several meters from the gutter. Drivers are exceptionally aggressive to pedestrians in the carriageway!
Given that OCC are not likely to fix the issues with drainage: https://www.fixmystreet.com/ report/ 1527555, could some temporary signage be put in place altering drivers that pedestrians may be in the carriageway.

Thank you for your report. This section of Station Road was inspected during and after recent heavy rain, with no issue found. I have spoken to the Drainage team who were not aware of anything previous to your report. That said I will continue to monitor this site and if (not putting yourself at any risk) you are able to take photos? please add them to a new report if this issue re-occurs and the Drainage team can be made aware. This report is now closed.
State changed to: No further action

Despite the above comment claiming no issue was found with the drainage, the failed road around the drain has now been repaired.
