Damaged safety signs are lying on the grass verge for over six months was reported to OCC last month ref:1515554. Signs should be erected asap on safety grounds. Waiting for a surfacing scheme in the future is not a safety consideration.

Damaged safety signs, shown on the attached photos are lying on the grass verge for over six months, were reported to OCC last month ref:1515554. Poor reply I received recently is not acceptable on safety grounds. Another vehicle has gone through the hedge, between 18th & 28th Jan, damaging the signs again. Action should be taken now if the signs are necessary at this accident prone location, during dark nights/icy road surface, to warn the motorist. waiting for a scheme in the future is not acceptable on a simple job. Re-using the signs and posts should not take more than half a day to erect.
