Grit Bins

Sent to Cherwell District Council and Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later
I was wondering if it would be possible if we could have a grit bin installed in our close?
Because of the position of the houses the road does not get any direct sunlight this time of year, therefore when it's icy it doesn't thaw out at all making the road surface extremely treacherous. The situation is made worse for the neighbourhood seeing as the majority of us have sloping driveways.Another concern I have is that we don't have a pathway and all pedestrians have to walk in the road including both young schoolchildren and elderly.

Thank you for your report. Please contact Banbury Town council who deal with new requests for grit bins. Modern developments such as William Close are created with a service stip which can be used by pedestrians to walk on if need be. Unfortunately there is no public funding available for the installation of new footways at present.
