Pedestrian Crossing

Reported in the Road Traffic Signs and Road Markings category by Peter Collins at 16:40, Monday 21 January 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later

This crossing, which should be a zebra crossing has no warning signs for approaching traffic. Having witnessed a couple of near misses they are urgently needed. The sight line to the right for pedestrians crossing from East to West (i.e. from the Co-Op side) is extremely poor making crossing the road something of a lottery. It is not much better for traffic exiting the Co-Op car park

  • The crossing was approved at the planning stage and has been in place since 2015. No safety issues have been identified by the independant Road Safety Audits Stage 1 and 2. Once the Co-op has been completed, a Road Safety Audit will be carried out and if any safety issues are identified we will raise these with the developer. Kind regards Road Agreements
