New Deep Pothole A4095 Eynsham Hall Entrance

Reported via Android in the Pothole category by DAVID ARCHER at 10:57, Monday 21 January 2019

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

A very long deep pot as appeared just before turning to Eynsham Hall, on A4095 travelling towards Witney. Attached are pictures, that when I was taking these, the sound of vehicles tyres dropping in to the hole was very loud, which isn't good.

  • This pothole has become considerably worse and has claimed a few tyres. Could we get this fixed tomorrow please? Thanks!

  • This hole has claimed another tyre tonight my wife was travelling to Witney from Long Hanborough at about 17:15 and hit this hole with a massive bang..... and on checking the tyre it has now got a bulge in it...great that’s £100 wasted on a tyre that’s pretty much brand long does it take to fix a hole that was first reported on Monday morning and was actioned for repair within 31 minutes and 3 days later nothing has been done to fix a hole that is extremely dangerous and costing people money to have tyres replaced.

It’s probably going to cost more money in car repairs than repairing the hole itself

  • There are two other drivers that have damage to tyres / wheels, but have been posted against my other report related to this junction. That report was made last October, regarding many accidents that occur at this point on A4095. I have contacted Councillor Liam Walker last night, who I see has posted a additional request to highlight this crater. !!

  • Last night I was picking my wife up with my 1 year old daughter and hit this it’s badly scraped my alloy and ruined my tire I then had to drive the car as far as I can back to Witney as my daughter was only in her pjs the hole is in a pitch black area and as I can see it’s been reported so why isn’t it fixed

  • This hole has a temporary fix, I have been informed. There is a conciliation within the council that may result in changes to this junction, for safety reasons, that may result in resurfacing this section if road
