Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
The Car Park used by the Community Education Centre and East Oxford Primary School, located behind the residential properties on Union Street, OX4 1JP, has had no bulbs in the light units for several months. This has obvious implications as far as safety is concerned they are known (Slips, Trips and Falls). Now it has been noted that several members of the public have observed suspicious activities occuring in the car park involving non-residents and known drug dealers. There is a fear that these drug dealers are selling illegal substances, and also wishing to cause damage to cars parked in the area, as the Car park is completely in darkness and have harmful intentions towards unsuspecting members of the public. Women are also being approached as they return to their student accommodation being pestered and intimidated by groups of males. homeless people are also pitching up tents. as the car park is in complete darkness at night and is sheculded. Light builds need to be put back in to the street lights for everyone safety.

Many thanks for the report and sorry to hear of the instances a this location. Appreciate its not nice for the locals here. Unfortunately the lighting isnt owned or maintained by Oxfordshire County Council. I havent any information on who owns the lighting , i would think it would be the school or the City Council , but sadly not owned by OCC. Sorry we cannot assist further.
