I am contacting you about the parking adjacent to Sovereign Place in Wallingford. Vehicles currently pack on Hithercroft/St Johns Road (about 8/10 vehicles) right in front of the Sovereign junction. This causes cars travelling into Wallingford to come on to the wrong side of the road just as cars are coming out of Sovereign Place. Vehicles travelling towards Hithercroft also have to stop to let cars pass. This is not very safe at the moment as sometimes cars have to stop at the last moment as they can not see the car on the wrong side coming towards them. I am concerned that this will become more dangerous once Lidl open. More traffic will use this road to access the store. Please can you look at putting a parking restriction along this part of the road (Borough Avenue - Green Close

Thank you for your report. The installation of formal waiting restrictions (yellow lines) requires the implementation of a 'Traffic Regulation Order' which involves a long and expensive legal process including full consultation, I regret that Oxfordshire County Council could not fund such a scheme at this time.
