Large number of street lights out Main Street
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 10:15, Fri 11 January 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
There are a large number of street lights out on Main Street in Grove between Cane Lane and Laurel Crescent. At night this area is now becoming very dangerous to pedestrians crossing both Cane Lane and the main road as you cannot see them. My elderly neighbour will now not use the bus stop in this area in the late afternoon as they feel unsafe in the darkness.

Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

Ref: 348342 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.
