SLOW markings insufficent to slow down traffic on entering Grafton
Reported in the Road Markings category anonymously at 09:36, Fri 11 January 2019
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 4 minutes later
The road through our village is a national speed limit and despite the now very faded SLOW signs at both ends, traffic continues to drive at excessive speed on a single track, often 'blind' road. In the last 12 months a cat, a dog and 2 chickens have been killed. Whilst we appreciate animals may not be a priority, there are now families with young children who might just as easily wander into the road and we would like to see what can be done. Pinch points/gate fences and a change of speed limit would seem preferable, but at the very least, repainting of the almost unnoticeable SLOW signs would be a start. Many thanks.
