Worrying number of street lights out of action in Didcot

A quick scan through the FMS reports for Didcot show that most of them are street lights not working. There is a whole section of the ring road where the lights are off, plus loads more all over the town.
It is worrying that so many are out, and the number is growing, but none of them seem to be getting fixed.
Perhaps a new contractor should be taken on who can do the work required
Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.
Many thanks for sedning this through and apologies that so many are out. We have a new contractor in place as of December, this has led to a backlog of outages due to their mobilisation period. We also have sections of lights out that are down to service cable issues. The service cables are owned by SSE so we have to rely on SSE to get these rectifed. I am hoping as of this month that the backlog will be cleared, apologies again of the situation we are currently in
