No Streetlights along whole of Green Lane to gates of RAF Benson. Reported months ago and still not fixed as to and from debate about who is responsible. (RAF Benson aren't responsible, but apparently the control box is situated 'behind the wire').
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 21:34, Tue 25 December 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later
Street lights along whloe length of Green Lane are unservicable still after many months of reporting. From the Main Guardroom Gate all the way to Ewelme end, just before junction with Benson Lane (by private houses). No footpath along length of road, on either side, leading to RAF Benson, so a serious potential risk to pedestrians in these long nights.

Hi Many thanks for reporting these outages, the street lights Oxfordshire County Council maintain are prefixed OCC 1 etc (please see attached plan) would it be possible to let me know if the lights you are referring to are these, if not then these will be the responsibility of RAF Benson, on our system we have a note to say Interserve Defence Ltd are responsible.
Kind regards
Dave

Dave.
That is a negative from your indication. I refer to the lights further down the length of Green Lane from whete indicated 'OCC 6 to 7' and onwards towards Ewelme (Shepherds Hut ) end of the lane. I have contacted the DIO (Interserve) manager and RAF liadion and they insist these lights are maintained by OCC as they are on a public road and not behind the wire or on MoD property.

Many thanks for the prompt reply, i carried out a site visit back in 2016 with a lady called Chantal. We found the lighting was fed from a private supply from the guard house, with each column having a private supply that wouldnt be specified by OCC. I have the photos attached. The lighting is unfortunately also set back so is not on adopted highway. After looking into this with Chantal, the lighting was installed as part of a safe ways to school scheme but was never taken on by OCC to repair we just installed this and the zebra crossing (which is separately fed from a feeder pillar by the zebra) on behalf of MOD. The only lighting that OCC maintain in this area are the zebra and the numbers with prefix OCC (1-7). I am sorry that we cannot assist further and appreciate this may be a negative response but unfortunately this isnt lighting that we maintain. Kind Regards Chris Marks Electrical Officer

Chris.
Many thanks for your prompt reply too. I will now present this information to DIO (MoD Work Services) who have their works cartied out by Amey. This will hopefully satisfy them that is really is an MoD problem.
