Road Markings

I would like to add my endorsement to this plea. Our buses are supposed to use Stop B but frequently cannot due to frequent illegal parking in the cobbles area in front of the Town Hall. It is bad enough that taxis and Thames Travel vans regularly use it as a parking area (but a driver can usually be found to move vehicles blocking the bus stop), but motorists are increasingly using the space to park at ridiculous angles while they go to get food and beverages at Greggs or Costa, or even go shopping in Boots. More prominent signage might help, and possibly some road markings stating 'Bus Stop, Keep Clear'?

Thank you for your report, having looked into this I have discovered that the road markings around the cobbled area are double yellow lines with 'Buses Only' supporting them, there is also a sign that also states this. We would be hesitant to add any lining to the cobbles due to its historical features. If this is a continuous problem you can speak to your local neighbourhood team of Thames Valley Police.
