Streetlight 15 not working
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 11:28, Fri 14 December 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 1 minute later
This was reported some 5 or 6 weeks ago as urgent. Was informed that light could not be fixed as access was difficult & needed specialized equipment, not sure why as this is easily reachable from the road. Can you advise a date when this will be fixed as I fear winter will be over before this is sorted.

The specialist equipment required is a skywinder to gain access on the footpath, unfortunately the MEWP is too large to enable access to the unit

So why does it take so long to get "specialist equipment"? Surely when contracts are awarded to 3rd parties, you ensure the companies have equipment to deal with all types of access?

Can you provide any update?

Unfortunately our contractor is only able to attend emergencies at the current time, unfortunately this would not come within that category. We have recently awarded a new contract and any existing jobs will be programmed and completed as soon as possible. We apologise for any inconvenience this must be causing
