Many thanks for bringing this to our attention , i have raised as an emergency fault to assess, if it turns out to be a cable fault we will pass on to the cable owner to repair the fault in their timescales. For this area it will be SSE, if its a lantern fualt we can assess and repair onsite

The lights are still not working consistently as one comes on the other goes out. On Monday neither were working and I was unable to locate the path and stumbled onto the grass.

Ref: 349422 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.

Light No 4 is not working. It is outside the house of a very elderly partially blind person who visits her husband with dementia in a local care home. She returns in the dark and because she cannot see well is frightened. Please fix asap.

We have logged your report on our asset management system and we hope to get this repaired as soon as possible. Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.
Kind regards The Electrical – Lighting Team

I was told on phone by OCC on Friday 1 March that the light No 4 had been fixed. No it has not. Both lights 4 and 6 are not working at the present time.
