License to close off Loading Bay outside O2

Reported by SA. ODS at 15:48, Thu 6 December 2018

Sent to Oxford City Council and Oxfordshire County Council 2 minutes later

Has a license been granted for the loading bay to be closed off during the afternoon (apparently to reserve the space and/or during the evening to provide additional queuing space).

This query has arisen from FMS report https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ report/ 1474145 prematurely transferred to ODS.

If it is confirmed that a License has NOT been issued then ODS might be able to issue a notice.

Council ref: ENQ18821061

  • “From an enforcement point of view, residents and businesses can apply for a suspended parking bay for specific reasons including: removals, special events, delivery of goods and filming. The NSL team have not received any applications from to suspend bays in that area.

NSL do not have the powers to deal with obstruction, this remains under the jurisdiction of Thames Valley Police and any vehicle that is causing an obstruction should be reported to them via the non-emergency 101 telephone number.
