Lights at playground not working

Both lights at the playground don’t seem to be working - can they be fixed? Thanks!

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

  • Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

  • Hi, the lights are inside the children’s playground on mantillas way / Cowley Road. I looked for a number on the lights but couldn’t see one. The are large lights with solar panels on top. If these are not responsibility of Oxfordshire county council, can you pass to oxford city council to action?

  • Hi many thanks , im sorry to say these are owned by Oxford City Council, you would need to contact the City to repair them as its not adopted land by OCC , the contacts list is https://www.oxford.gov.uk/ contact

  • Contacted city (direct services) to report this, but still not fixed. Looks like nobody wants to take responsibility for this :-(
