The street light at the end of the road, in the Culdersac is not working.
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 06:45, Sat 1 December 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later
The light has been out for a few days. The same light broke last year and took around 6 weeks to repair. There are elderly people living around the culdersac for whom it could be hazardous for them in the dark. A fast repair would be greatly appreciated.
Ref: 348638 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.

Hello, thank you for the update. I observed last evening that the light was working again so presumed it had been repaired. However this evening it is not working again. Not sure if a fix has been made and it’s broken n again, or if it is an intermittent issue.

Oxfordshire County Council have recently appointed new term maintenance contractors to manage our electrical highway assets within Oxfordshire, however they are currently dealing with a small backlog of outstanding faults from the transition from the old contractor to the new. Our aim is to get as many faults as possible rectified, however this will be based on an area approach. Apologies for any inconvenience caused while this asset is out of operation.
Kind regards The Electrical – Lighting Team
