Ref: 348591 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.

The highway maintenance van is blocking the bus lane. There was a worker inside the can, sleeping. This is the rush hour (8am), can you please find another place to park and sleep?

Thank you for your report, can you please advise of a registration number or how the van was liveried as there are various types of vans used within the Council. This was not a street lighting maintenance van

There is a hole in the pavement so ice forms 2 members of the public have slip and a member of staff right outside the dental practice. It is very dangerous this time of year please we have it fixed before someone really hurts themselves.Than you.

The hole in the pavement is not a street lighting issue and we have therefore passed this to our highway department to respond

SUPPLY FAULT - Passed to District Network Operator (Energy Supplier)
When our street lighting contractor previously attended site it was confirmed that there was a fault with the electricity supply to that lights rather than within the lights themselves, this fault has been reported to the Local District Network Operator (LDNO) by ourselves.
In much the same way as a typical household, Oxfordshire County Council is responsible only for the street light, but not for the electrical infrastructure outside of its own asset, the cabling serving street lights is provided and maintained by the LDNO; these are outside of the local authority control and subject to a separate regulatory framework overseen by ofgem.
Oxfordshire County Council’s contractor is not permitted in any way to interfere with or try to repair electricity supply faults, as they would be in breach of the statutory safety regulations if they tried to do so.
Once the electricity supply company advises Oxfordshire County Council the fault is rectified we will confirm this within our regular inspection programme to ensure that the light as a whole is in working order.
State changed to: not the council's responsibility
