Pavement closed and no safe alternative provided during roadworks

Reported in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 19:57, Tue 27 November 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later

The contractors who are digging up Grove Road have now reopened the road, but have dug up the pavement and not provided a safe alternative for pedestrians walking kids to the school. When asked, the workman on site said they couldn't maintain 2 way car flow and provide space for pedestrian access. This is ridiculous! Either keep the road closed until works have finished or fence of an area for peds and have traffic flow control. The current situation is unsafe, especially at peak periods.
