There are no street lights down Southpark Avenue for a week.
Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.
Many thanks for sending this through i will raise as an emergency fault to assess, If it turns out to be a cable fault - In much the same way as a typical household, Oxfordshire County Council is responsible only for the street light, but not for the electrical infrastructure outside of its own asset, the cabling serving street lights is provided and maintained by the Local District Network Operator (LDNO), which for this region is Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks (SSEN). These are outside of the local authority control and subject to a separate regulatory framework overseen by ofgem.
The aim of the LDNO is to typically repair cable faults within 20 working days, where possible
