Complete darkness on entering the village. Street lighting not working outside Cedar House and Larch House, Moreton

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

  • Ref: 348181 Thank you for your report; we have logged this as a fault on our management system. Our current policy is for our contractor to attend electrical & structural emergencies as a priority; these will be attended within a 24hr period. All other faults are logged on our management system, for efficiency, these are grouped by area and the date they were reported, and the contractor attends against a programmed of works based on this approach.

  • Hi we still have no light outside cedar house and larch house . There is an older lady living next door to cedar house who is in her 80s and lives by herself . Please fix this light as priority . As it is pitch back down here .

  • We still have no street lights outside OX9 2HU there are 2 of them not working . We only have 11 in the whole village so it would be good if someone could fix the broken 2 . How long does it take this has been going on for ages now .

  • Many thanks and sorry in the delay with this repair, we have changed contractor on Dec 3 so this has only allowed emergencies to be attended whilst the new contractor mobilises, we will be tackling the growing amount of outages from the coming weeks, we are very sorry for the inconvenience

  • We are still waiting for 2 street lights to be fixed . This was first reported 2 months ago . Please can these lights get repaired at OX9 2HU. I know you changed contractors on the 3rd December but surely by now you should be able to get someone to fix our street lights . It would be much appreciated if you could now make this a priority. Thank you
