Street light no. 16 out on walkway at Peachcroft, Abingdon

Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:20, Wed 14 November 2018

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 5 minutes later

This is an urgent matter as the off-street pathways on Peachcroft are in blackout without the street lights - this is one of four such lights that are out in a very compact area. Very dangerous for safety of both persons and property. This street light is outside the much-used Social club & community centre. A member of the public injured themselves leaving the community centre in the dark by walking into a low wall opposite that he couldn't see in the dark.

Thank you for contacting Oxfordshire County Council Street lighting, unfortunately we are currently only available to respond to emergency situations which may have an impact on the health and safety of members of the public, these will be dealt with within a 24 hour period.
Reported faults will continue to be registered on our management system and these will be tackled in coming months.

Updates

  • Thank you for your report, can you please confirm the location of the units as the pin is dropped near to Norries close but we are unable to ascertain the unit numbers you are referring to in this location. I have attached a map for some of the units we are aware of on Peachcroft footpath that we have requested our contractors attend to check supply. Thank you
