Street light no. 12 out on off-road pathway at Peachcroft, Abingdon
Reported in the Street lighting category anonymously at 09:17, Wed 14 November 2018
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council 3 minutes later
This is an urgent matter as the off-street pathways on Peachcroft are in blackout without the street lights - this is one of four such lights that are out in a very compact area. Very dangerous for safety of both persons and property.
Council ref: 1461088

Thank you for your report, to enable us to log the fault to the correct unit can you please advise using the attached map the street light number you are referring to. If the unit is not on the map this would not be owned/maintained by Oxfordshire County Council and would need to be reported to the developer/landowner direct. Unfortunately we do not keep records of private lights.

The map won't allow me to pin point this light. The light is, however, definitely owned by county council - it has a county sticker on it. It is on the walkway between the street path at the back of Appleford Drive back gardens and Budgens store at Peachcroft shops on Lindsay Drive. It's roughly between 8 Brode Close and 12 Pykes Close.

Thank you for this update. Please can you let me know when you will be visiting the other three lights that are currently out in the same very close area, and are of equal importance? Please let me know how long it will take for 'resources to allow' this work to be done. As the local county Councillor for Abingdon East division, I am being asked dryly about these four street lights by very concerned constituents.

Thank you for your report, we have requested our contractor attend as a priority to check for supply on the units affected as unit 10 does already have a supply fault registered with Scottish and Southern Energy.
